It's 4:39pm and still no call. Seems more and more likely that he's getting bumped to tomorrow.

11 hours in a windowless room and....nothing except for a group of really good new friends. RB, I can't wait to meet you tomorrow, I'll see you there.

Everyone else, thanks for the good vibes and I expect a new round tomorrow, no excuses people

How many people from your group were held over?

Good vibes for tomorrow to you and Rafferty.

There are three of us who didn't make the hot seat plus Eddington who's joining our group.
It felt a little West Side Storyish when the room was divided between the old people and new people today. No finger snapping though to my great disappointment.

Get ready to roll SC

Oh good, you get to go to bed early again. Glad you made friends.
Tomorrow, I want you to sit on the side of the room with the "old" people.

Here we go again!

I just got the set-up call for Clem's appearance today.

My understanding is that silvercamaro is replacing one of his other PAFs who isn't available today.

Good luck, Clem!

Can you or AD give me a clarification? I was told that the taping window for today was noon to 6 p.m. What I forgot to ask (since I had to trip over Lizbit to get to the phone) was whether that was eastern time or central (my time zone.)

It makes a difference only because it's imperative that I take Rusty to the kennel today before they close, which could either be within the next hour or late afternoon. (I'm confident that Clem will be among the contestants for the earlier taping sessions.)

Eastern of course.

I've now been reassured by AD that it is indeed Eastern, but there's no "of course" to it. When Matt did the set-up calls in previous seasons, he always tried to convert the times to the PAFs' time zones.

As confirmed by others, it's Eastern.

Since Clem is a carryover, though, I suspect that he'll be done by 3:00pm EST.

Don't worry about it. Mini is just trying to psyche out all PAFs today by pointing out their mistakes, or threatening them with HK.

My 3:30pm conference call just got moved up to 3:00pm. I can take it from my phone (and can hop off quickly if need be), but it would be better if I could be in the same place with the other people here.

Oh, when will the call saying he's going into the Hot Seat come?

I was just thinking about that - it sure does seem like a long time.

And when I was IMing SC a while ago, I reassured her that she should have plenty of time for TCB later today, as Clem would likely be one of the first to tape.

I just picked up a Coke as free soda in the pantry is one of the small fringe benefits my company provides. :)

I figured he'd be in the first 3 shows. I had asked about how many carryover contestants they had, but John (the guy who made the set-up call both yesterday and today) refused to give out any such information. He did say that all the carryover people would tape before the "new" people.

I was told yesterday by a reliable source that three people carried over, plus Eddington, who was brought back from an earlier date. So, four.

Perhaps somebody is doing really, really well. We can hope.

That works fine. When I spoke to Meredith earlier this season, the phone rang while I was in the middle of a conversation with one of the partners here. He later noted it's the first time anyone has ever had to interrupt a phone conversation with him to take a phone call on national (well, syndicated) television. --Bob

That would be the hope.

The first time I attended a taping, however, they had some technical problem with one of the booms that extended a camera over the set. We sat there for over two hours waiting for them to fix it and move on. During that time, they distributed lots of t-shirts as well as having the warm-up guy do his entire comedy routine.
