YET ANOTHER Trivial Pursuit BB "Appearance"!

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Tue Oct 28, 2008 2:53 pm

Once again, our friend Uly popped up on TP (I'm watching the DVR as I type). His question:
Spoiler
What two characters from the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" share their names with two "Sesame Street" Muppets?
The contestant correctly came up with
Spoiler
Bert and Ernie
I'll post the results of the game once I get that far.

Funnily enough, a later question asked the name of the Jeopardy! 74-game winner from 2004....

The result of the game:

The contestant got only two of the final round questions right.
Spoiler
Unfortunately for Uly, those two were the two highest values ($4000 and $5000), and he stole the $12,500 from Uly and the American Team.
Spoiler
For $4000, in the category of "World War II", what three world leaders were the participants in the Yalta Conference?
Spoiler
Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin
Spoiler
For $5000, in the category of "New England", what is the only New England State that doesn't have a coastline on the Atlantic?
Spoiler
Vermont
Spoiler
Bummer, Dan!

This was a question in the Daily Trivial Pursuit game on Pogo day before yesterday!

Here's a question I just made up after reading your post:
Spoiler
For $33, Bummer Dan was a character on what cable television series?
Spoiler
Deadwood
We, the HK Brigade, do hereby salute you, Marley, for your steadfast devotion to ontopicosity. Well done, sir!

I've been to Deadwood but I always face the door when I play poker.....and I've never drawn aces and eights.

It was a double header for me this week. There is a local network (KTLA) that does an hour program on USC and UCLA on Saturday nights. They did a segment on me since I'm the official USC football photographer. I didn't see it until last night since I was in Tucson for the Arizona game. Friends and family said I did a good job. But then that's why they're my friends.
