Substitute transcriptionist needed this Thursday

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Tue Oct 28, 2008 6:43 am

I'll be going out of town* for a couple days and can't do it on time. Could someone please fill in for me?

Or I could write the transcripts from videotape when I get back, over the weekend.

I'll do it, I have a special interest in this week.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

You haven't gotten any snow yet?

No, it's 36° and still raining here. The weather maps shows the snow down to our southeast now, in the Catskills and Poconos. But the forecast is for an inch today, three to five inches tonight, one to three inches tomorrow...only snow showers Thursday morning...

Welcome to the end of Fall and the beginning of Locking! :|

Yeah, snow.

As I said, we have six seasons up here. "Locking" is the season of November and December, which has a mixture of Autumny and Wintry weather.

So it's arriving a couple days early, this year.

I have a special interest in this episode, but I'll be in Norway that day, so I look forward to reading the transcript. This episode will have BB Shade in the hot seat. I'll be one of his Phone A Friends.

Thursday is Shade's episode? I've got to make sure I tape that!

And Ken Jennings mentioned your reason for going to Norway. Good luck, Ed!
