There are not many players I would believe could have had their toe in-bounds and the heel out of bounds but not touching the grass, but Steve Smith is one of them. SO athletic.macrae1234 wrote:Could have gone either way. i still can't believe we lost the challenge
Nearly 400 yards for Warner and to not get a win would suck.
The botched field goal attempt and missed PAT turned out to matter a lot.

I saw chalk flying don't look at the replay look at his heel mark in the grass.
It gets better we go to Philly for Turkey night and New England just before Christmas

From the AP story:
One of the flaws of instant replay is some games have fewer cameras than others, and there was no angle looking directly down the sideline.
I was saying the other night that if we were a bigger market or on the 415 game, we'd have better announcers and more cameras.

Re: Good game in Carolina Skoop
The key was lack of any definitive shot of the play - I think it was one that would have kept the on the field call no matter what. I find it hard to believe he didn't step out, but I didn't see a shot that proved he did - which is what was needed. I was surprised at the lack a good shot of the play. I also note that the there was an official about 5 yds away (behind the play) who did not call it.Ritterskoop wrote:From the AP story:

I was having fun - I wanted the Panthers to win, but I needed Fitzgerald and Warner to have a good game for my fantasy team. It worked out well in both regards. Of course a healthy Brian Westbrook had a lot to do with a good fantasy game.
