My "trying to be equanimious" head-narrated attempt is "its horrible when anybody's family is murdered".
But my heart/gut-narrated feeling is just that Hudson got fame, opportunity for her talent, & the money that sometimes comes with it, & could & did share it with her family. And would have continued to share it. And now, instead of the easier life they all would have had, college or whatever other training he wanted for the kid, probably, the child & his parent & Hudson's mother are all dead. And Hudson & the rest of her relatives left are all left alive to grieve.
