If the message on this board is true, his son Elijah has just been diagnosed with childhood leukemia.

Smith has missed most of this week's practice and is listed as questionable, and no one on the Steelers was talking.

If this is true, best wishes for the Smith family. My wife's best friend had a son that beat this- here's hoping little Elijah will too!

I hope it isn't true, but if it is, it is a very treatable form.
