The McCain camp sold it hard to KDKA...even adding "details" they couldn't have possibly known at the time (and were "invented" anyway).

KDKA probably doesn't have the ears of 90 percent of the nation. If they did, locally, they're idiots. As I've said in a prior or post post. Wherever it shows up. Do you REALLY think this is a national sort of agenda item?

Probably because it's a joint venture between Franklin Raines/Obama and whatever Republican CEO/McCain to subvert the information. There. An everybody sort of diss.

Who cares? Right now the only state that matters is Pennsylvania, and the Pittsburgh end was up for grabs.

Eh, who knows? Anyway, my point was, if this had been a reverse news issue with a supposed Obama worker blah blah blah no one with any shred of intelligence would have placed much credence on this event. Correctly so. It involves a stupid psycho goofball. I guess Pittsburgh will be McCain's grand downfall. If that happens, well, so be it. I just have a hunch, a gut feeling, something totally non-related to all that's rational, that this event will not be McCain's downfall. If this is what it took to grab Pittsburgh, bless all y'all's heart. Yay.

For one thing, Ashley Todd's hoax or whatever you wanna call it came immediately before a well-attended and extremely well-publicized Sarah Palin rally at nearby Beaver, PA (my hometown.) So the campaign was bigger news (than normal) around here yesterday to begin with.

Yeah, they jumped on it. And it became national news.

My girls are pissed at her for making Pittsburgh look stupid.

Drudge and other outlets picked up on it as well.

It went national very quickly.

I'm lovin' it because the same right-wing bloggers and message board hacks who were up in arms over the "heinous act" against poor Ashley are at this moment collectively throwing her under the bus...many now calling her an Obama plant who was out to ruin McCain, and digging up unflattering videos of her on YouTube.

Once again, this news item will not be discussed in the next week except for the charges brought against the wacko involved. I don't understand why you, particularly, are so charged up about this.

Now I understand why they have so many people locked up down there.

I watched the local news for the first time in months tonite to watch this story, as well as the Holmes thingy. And to see if fast willies one week injury will stretch to 4.It will.my fantasy team is sinking like mccain.

anywho, Todd's black eye has cleared up.
I hope she retains the backwards B scar for a while.

it is a bad idea to steal from the Al Sharpton playbook.
Again, anyone who places any "legs" on this story, and I question whether anybody really, really did, is an idiot. In both parties.

I guess that would include you and yours. At least you're not running for office.
I'm going to retract part of my statement to eliminate the "that would include you and yours. At least you're not running for office." While I don't feel, in my gut, that it's necessary to remove that, I'd like to remain on some sort of civil level of discourse, as opposed to "this was a stupid idea even for a texan. Now I understand why they have so many people locked up down there", which, I realize was not directed to me. However, it engendered a response in me that was, I think, appropriately irate, but, not necessarily a help in maintaining equanimity and happiness on the board. And certainly not in keeping with judicious discourse and conversations kept at the normal high level that we're used to here. Sarcafont inserted.

O.K.

Sarah Pailin's background completely investigated. Check!
Sarah Pailin's husband's background completely investigated. Check!
Joe the Plumber's background completely investigated. Check!
Ashely the 'B's background completely investigated. Check!

Barak Obama's background, uh, wa, well, uh, you know, uh, the last 3 or 4 years. That's enough, isn't it?

Boy, if he does get elected, his presidential library will fit in a 7-11. Only 7-8 years of stuff to put in it.

No baby stuff. No growing up stuff. Especially no college stuff, that stuff is private and none of you's bizness.

I honestly believe now that once the full scope of the financial crisis became public a few weeks ago that McCain said "The hell with this! I'm 72- why do I want to be President and have to deal with THIS mess?"

He looks like a man who WANTS to lose now.
Jeemie, you must be younger than I thought - Dukakis '88 and Bush '92 come to mind.

I always thought Bush 41 decided sometime in September '92 he really didn't want to be Prez anymore.

Bush/Dukakis was the first Presidential election I was eligible to vote in. Yeah Dukakis' '88 campaign was pretty bad (Bush's that year was no great shakes either!), and Bush's '92 campaign was also bad.

I still think McCain's is worse than any of those.
