Someone want to suggest some beer pairings?

For an appetizer, there are some very good German cheeses. Served with some ‘spreading’ sausages and a nice smoked ham, you may not make it to the rest of the buffet! An assortment of the following are on the table with a hearty dark brown bread and a great assortment of mustards. Does some one have any good pickled onions or beets?

The cheeses are:

Allgäuer Emmentaler, Tilsiter, Odenwälder Frühstückskäse, Weinkäse, Weiss-Blau Brie, Limburger (This is underglass to keep the fumes to a minimum)

Cured Meats: Braunschweiger, Teewurst and Westfaelischer Schinken Ham.

White Radish Salad

Bratwurst Braised in Beer with Sauerkraut

Apple Ginger Pork Chops

Sauerbraten, I started this on Wednesday!

Braised Red Cabbage

German Potato Salad, but of course!

Spatzle

For dessert:

Apfel Strudel, ShinyCar is bringing it by

German Chocolate Cake supplied by Sprots!

I have loads of homemade saurkraut in my freezer. We make it every year. It's delish.

BTW - Oktoberfest here in Kitchener is the 2nd largest in the world next to Munich's. It ended last Saturday. The area I live in was mainly settled by Germans so there is lots of Gemutlichkeit to go around.
