7-Eleven voting by coffee cup
I followed PSM's link for her post about the Starbuck's/Costco discount, and I found out that 7-Eleven is running a most unscientific poll with coffee cups. You go to 7-Eleven and buy your coffee with a cup that says Obama or McCain (or Independent). They've done this in previous elections and they claim it predicted the outcomes in 2000 and 2004.
Well, right now Obama seems to be winning by a landslide across the country, not just in the Northeast and West Coast states but in GOP strongholds such as Utah, Kansas, and Texas -- where the margins are currently much larger than in confirmed blue states New York and New Jersey. Two states are tied, and right now only one state is going for McCain: New Hampshire.
Do I believe this indicates just how things will go? In a word, no. Lots of places don't even have 7-Elevens nearby (I'd have to make a field trip myself), and there are probably many "repeat voters." But if you do have a 7-Eleven, it might be fun to stop by and "let your voice be heard."

Well, I do drink my coffee black.....
Okay; stupid joke. The last time I had 7-11 coffee was........I can't remember. Before the McDonald's coffee I had in Vegas 4 years ago. I ALMOST had Starbucks on Saturday, but saw a local place across the street that was owned by my former boss and went there instead.
I rarely go out for coffee since I can't leave the house before I've had my coffee...

Sheesh! Try working nights for 10 years, and you'll get to be really good at driving while still legally asleep....

I've been playing with my fingerpaints for the past 4 hours, or else I would be in bed by now.Hello, Mini! wrote:I thought if I showed up late enough you'd be gone by now!littlebeast13 wrote:Hello, Mini! wrote:Well, I do drink my coffee black.....
