Bingo needs kitty cat help!

#1 Post by mikehardware » Tue Oct 21, 2008 5:28 pm

Bingo and I have a bit of a problem, and I'm hoping the two and four footers here can help.

We were out on our evening meander a few days ago, when a kitty cat got all aggressive at Bingo. The feline came across the street, back arched, and stalked us while we walked off. He kept getting closer and closer, so I finally turned around, stamped my foot, and the kitty went back across the street and glared at us.

So tonight, we're back by that house, and the cat is on the sidewalk staring a hole through us. Bingo walked over and left a nice puddle on the cat's sidewalk. That ruffled the kitty, and he started after us again. I had to turn around and stare him down.

Any suggestions on how to deal with a miniature lion?

Keep training the cat. Get meaner each time with your stare.

I like the fact that Bingo peed on the cat's sidewalk.

There is a large dog that barks at Zap when we go on our walks. Zap used to whine or run away from the house, but lately he's been peeing on the dog's lawn.

Walk a different route. That one belongs to the kitty.

I was going to say that pretty much. The puss seems to have his territory. And there certainly won't be any warfare, so...

Unless you offer it treats.
Well, then

How about a few well placed acorns?

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

The route belongs to no one. The sidewalk to the cat's house might belong to the cat, but not the rest of the place. The cat needs to be taught to share. As does Bingo.

WOW ! Thanks Evil Squirrel ! Bingo and I appreciate the picture!

And the advice as well. He gets along with every other cat in the neighborhood just fine. He leaves them alone, unless they start running right in front of him. Then he'll take a couple of basset hound running steps and get back to his usual slow mosey. One kitty buddy just lays there sprawled out in the sun while Bingo gets within a couple of feet, and they ignore each other completely.

Seems like Bingo is handling the situation just fine.

You're the one who's intimidated!

Follow Bingo's lead and fart in his general direction.

I heard that the problem started when Bingo slammed Kitty on her Myspace page.
