Bridge report

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 1:09 pm

Played the regional Swiss Teams game yesterday. We did not have a good day. We had three narrow wins and four blow-out losses, for a very poor overall result.

I didn't play particularly well, we had a couple of bidding disasters (partner made a non-forcing bid thinking it was forcing, and partner made a double that I failed to read as take-out), and I never really felt on. Ah, well -- these things happen and I've certainly had worse results. --Bob

Good job on the three wins.

I've done both those bidding disasters with commensurate suffering. I put a little SPLAT! next to them on the scoresheet. I shoulda copyrighted that Splat! Who knew Mecca was gonna co-opt it without giving me proper remuneration?
