Cowboys' offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was already being groomed as the next head coach, and after this season is starting to look like a good time to make the change.

The consensus around here was that Phillips would have to win a playoff game to keep his job beyond next season. Of course, if the Cowboys don't make the playoffs, that would make it really difficult to win a playoff game...
