I love this movie. I heard that John Heder got paid a thousand bucks for his efforts.

I did watch it all the way to the end -- Napoleon's dance was fantastic!

What did I tell ya? :D

And the smile that slowly creeps onto Pedro's hangdog face--that's worth the length of the movie all by itself. :D

We'll work on beast next! Pea sounds like a hopeless case.

Which gives us the answer to Sprot's initial question:

On a shoestring budget.

I can assure you I am a more hopeless case than Pea. You would have to hope it's on in a situation where I was unable to leave.....

When Maddie ran for ASB Treasurer two years ago, she made Vote for Maddie stickers in the same style as the Vote for Pedro stickers. Everyone copied her by the next day.

If you'd like to be unconfused, you could take my advice, too, and watch the movie!

There was a lot of buzz going around when the film was about to open, so I had an idea that it might become a cult classic. Then I saw the ad in the newspaper where they were going to be giving away a "talking" N.P. wristwatch, packaged in a nifty little giftbox, for free with each paid admission (at only one screening at either a sneak preview or on opening day, I can't remember), so we filled 2 vehicles and treated the kids and a crap-load of their friends to see the movie. I told them in advance that I'd be keeping the watches; no one cared. I bought them all popcorn whatever junk they wanted, and everyone was happy.

I sold them all on Ebay a couple months later for between $75 and $150. Each. 8)
