Saw the Dynamo win last night; I was in the end zone Texian Army section with AJ. The city looks to have bounced back well from Hurricane Ike. There are still quite a few damaged windows and signs in the city. Today I set out to meet Bix and AJ at the Texans game.

Last night, yes. Today I'm not going to be able to. Not much of a throat left.
It was great to meet Snaxx and I'm looking forward to seeing Bixby this afternoon.
The Dynamo won 3-0 last night wrapping up the Western Conference regular season top seed. The playoffs start in two weeks and we'll be going for our third straight MLS Cup.
The Lions, meh. But I'll still be hoping for a win today.

I met AJ again at the Texans game, and for the first time I met Bix as well! I got another two photos that I patched together to one upload below. No matter the team's record, which is a game better than when the day began, Texans tailgates are awesome. Thanks to both of you for being awesome hosts as well!

I am so glad you visited. You must be lucky for Houston sports. I'm glad you had a fun time at the tailgates.
When Bud Adams ran the Oilers, tailgating wasn't allowed. The Texans promoted tailgating from the beginning. They knew that it was a good thing because it promotes community among fans who have little tradition, and it also helps with traffic congestion around the stadium because everyone doesn't all arrive or leave at the same time.

Thanks to Bix and the Lone Spot tailgaters for their hospitality on Sunday. It was much appreciated. My friend Amy was visiting from Chicago and had been thrown from her horse on Tuesday so she was really suffering from a back injury. Having a place to sit and enjoy some food/beverage before the game was just the ticket for her back.
I was 1/3 on the weekend with Purdue losing, the Dynamo winning, and the Lions losing but it was a fun weekend because I got to spend time with great people. And I got to see the Lions score on a 97 yard pass play. Don't get that chance very often.
