And you better add Kay the Colorful Poster, or we'll all Abet her! :P :P :P
You better get that cleared with Otto before you do any of that abetting to Kay on the Bored.... :P

Kay is limited to Raspberry posting for the next few days, so maybe there will not be any more colorful postings.....

Go rant somewhere else.

Seriously!

So freaking tired of the pollution the bored has to put up with during the election times.

Seriously.
If you mark someone as a foe, you don't even get their avatar, much less anything they've posted (you'll still get it in other people's quotes, though). You'll just get an unobtrusive (so much so that you'll miss it unless you're specifically looking for it) line sandwiched between other posts that 'someone' posted.

Makes scrolling through a thread much faster, if nothing else. Ha!
Oh, I'll have to try that!

For those who know me, it probably wouldn't surprise you that I have only added friends to my lists so far.

:D

But I could see adding a foe could make the Bored a better place until after the election.

I'm such a Socialist I have neither friends nor foes. We're like a family, and families don't get to pick and choose their members, just make the best of what you get.

Besides, if I can't put beast on the foe list, what use is THAT!?!? :P :P :P :P :P :P

Already tried, you very well know that reds and greens can't be foes!

Also, I have yet to see any difference in having someone on the friends list other than that it shows a list when you go into your user control panel. I don't see anything different on the actual message board at all.

I didn't either, but it's more because I'm a Lazyist than a Socialist. I put lb on the friends list the other night just as an experiment to see what difference it made.

The foe thing saves me time in that when I see hate-spewing and ignorance I feel compelled to answer, if only in my head. This way, I don't waste energy on something useless.

Excuse me, but this thread started off with a comment about the debates. The point of my post was that there was nothing new or worthwhile from the debate last night.
Bullshit. The point of your post was to get the goat of the Obama supporters here (some of whom have also crossed WAY over the line themselves with snide and inappropriate remarks) with highly incendiary verbiage.

Which was also the point of THIS remark in another thread:

What a moron. It figures that he's a Democrat.
My son and I thank you for your expert opinion on our level of intelligence.

Despite my apparent intellectual shortcomings, I respect John McCain immensely even though I don't agree with him on several key issues. I have some serious problems with his running mate, I admit. Nonetheless, I can't find it in me to attach such hateful adjectives as "some" here have been throwing around.

I hereby am issuing a cease and desist order regarding any political, quasi-political, not-quite-political-but-somebody-can-interpret-it-as-political posts in any thread named after my pub trivia team, The Usual Suspects.

That phrase is MINEMINEMINE, and you can't have it.

And no, I don't think that just because Bryan Singer's movie came out 10 years before I stole...um...appropriated...um...liberated, yeah, that's the ticket, liberated it he gets MY phrase. After all, he stole it from Michael Curtiz and the Epstein brothers, who probably stole it from Murray Bennett and Joan Allison (although I can't confirm this, since I've never seen the original play).
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

If all the Merry Men are okay with that, I don't have any problem with it, either.

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

--squirrelmama (10/3/07)

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.
