I won!

#1 Post by lilyvonschtupp26 » Tue Oct 14, 2008 6:38 pm

Remember when I was asking people for trivia questions about Illinois for a contest?

Well, I sent my wacky facts in about Illinois and I won! I get the 3rd series of America the Beautiful books from Grolier and Scholastic Press.
53 books worth $2000! cool, huh? I should get the first 32 books any day. 21 more coming when published later.

Nice! Tell hubby this is just the start. You're just building toward the lottery.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

No thanks to the losers who promised they'd help you and then failed.

I got some very cool questions from the people I work with and a couple kids. When I get to work tomorrow, I'll upload the questions I submitted.

Congratulations Lily! Sorry LB forgot all about that PM you sent earlier in the year, but he's pretty scatterbrained sometimes....

Let me see if I can make it up to you.....

I think I have a new favorite in my collection!

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

--squirrelmama (10/3/07)

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Another excellent depiction. I hope Lily sees it.
