IMO, Oregon will be just fine either way. Gordon Smith and Jeff Merkley are both good men who have each done good work for your state over the years. I totally envy you, as you live in a state with a Republican senator who is not a complete

I assume that Gov. Kulongoski will not run for re-election in 2010. If you're lucky, the loser of this election will run for governor two years from now, and then win. Then everybody will be happy.
