I'm sorry
I really, really don't like this new format.
And Dave, that thing you said to do to change back a little bit doesn't exist on my computer. (Just like the message numbers never do appear in the bottom left of my screen.)
I know that much work was involved in this changeover. I don't mean to denigrate that at all.

Did you refresh the View forum page after selecting the subsilver format? It worked for me.ne1410s wrote: And Dave, that thing you said to do to change back a little bit doesn't exist on my computer. (Just like the message numbers never do appear in the bottom left of my screen.)

The link to the User Control Panel should be in the upper left:

It didn't exist on mine until I logged in. Perhaps it appeared after you posted?tubadave wrote:The link to the User Control Panel should be in the upper left:ne1410s wrote:And Dave, that thing you said to do to change back a little bit doesn't exist on my computer.

Friends and Foes on preferences, I don't need that right now, but you never know
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Any idea what the "friends and foes" option does? Sounds like it might be similar to the "ignore" feature from the original Bored (and some of its later iterations).themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:Friends and Foes on preferences, I don't need that right now, but you never know

For those around in the early days on GO, just imagine it like this:
Friends = Green
Foes = Gray

I like the little bubble over the avatar that says Online. I switched to the subsilver it that makes a difference.
I just tried the color bar on the right.
Hope it worked.

Ah, so CHANGE isn't always good in and of itself. It may depend on what the CHANGE is.ne1410s wrote:I really, really don't like this new format.
