Mrs. Queen looks very nice in orange!

Maybe she'll give me any french fries that accidentally fall on the floor.

It is a good think McDonalds doesn't have cake on the menu.

As long as she doesn't serve that weird pink pickled side dish that I never was able to identify when we were there a long time ago.
Well, then

I vote that we ban this from ever appearing on the menu in the M-Lounge.

It won't be on any menu I prepare!

NO! It wasn't. I think. It was more a jello-like substance with chunky bits in it. And vinegary. It tasted exactly opposite of what it looked like. Which may apply to the reproductive organ of a horse, but that is something that I shall never have nor take the opportunity to savor.

Maybe it was pickled red cabbage.

Or some kind of pickled beet?

What was it served with?

Perhaps it was a mashed beet thing. But it was completely jello-like. Not a terrine. It was served with venison pie and some other green garnish that one actually wouldn't eat. Mind you, I had just arrived after the 9 or 10 hour flight from Toronto and wasn't in a lunch mood, but, you know it was just...startling.

No, because it was, like, Hello Kitty pink. And randomly gelatinly chunky. And, tomatos have a pleasing tomatoey flavor and aren't pickly tart. I'm wondering if they were just jacking with me.

Although there were other plates that had it on there, too. It was a luncheonette where you picked the plates already assembled.

They do a lot of 'pickles'. So it is hard to know.

Doesn't sound like the best place to eat.

I always go to pubs to eat in England.

Eh, it's one of those things I'll never know. It also wasn't one of the cool pubs one goes to, which we did eventually, so maybe it was the equivalent of a Luby's.

Then we went to France where we had nothing but spectacular food, so it was all good. Everybody has their own strengths.

AHA!

It was probably a beet Picalilli, which is a type of relish garnish stuff.

You know what? Picalilli. That's exactly what it was. It's been years since I've even thought of that particular stuff.

I used a Google image search for this. I doubt I would eat anything on my plate if this were even close to it.
