Tuesday QOD-week 1

#1 Post by ulysses5019 » Tue Oct 07, 2008 12:44 am

Rules are the same. Once you use a point wager you cannot use it again. I will give a point update on Saturday morning. Here is the topic tree:

Monday-TV
Tuesday-Literature
Wednesday-Music
Thursday-Geography
Friday-Entertainment

So today's question is:

What novel's main character is Winston Smith?

The answer to the Monday question is:

Spoiler
Bob Ross. And like J!, as long as you don't put down incorrect information, you will get the points. First names only are not acceptable.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Mr. Winston Smith is a character in Nineteen-Eighty-Four, a.ka. 1984 (a.k.a. way back in ancient history before I was born.)

I will wager 7 points today, as I know the answer cold.

It is "1984."

Am I doing the wagering right? Or do we have to wager the day before the question? Do I need to place wagers for the rest of the week? Sorry about my cluelessness!

Wagers are placed when you answer the question. If you feel uncertain of your answer and see that a category you like is coming up later in the week, you would wager one of the lower amounts and save the higher amounts for the categories you like. Of course there is no guarantee that those questions will be easy.
