Yet another long night
Thank God it was not as long as it might have been.
A few minutes after I logged out of chat last night the phone rang. It was my sister telling me that my Dad was having really bad breathing problems and that an ambulance had been called and she was taking Mom and my sister up to the hospital and could I please call my brothers.
Not the kind of call you want any time of day under any circumstances. Given Dad's recent state of health it was doubly alarming.
Making the long story short, they got him on oxygen, took him in for a CAT scan, and found that he very likely had a heart attack. They were able to stabilize him and moved him from the ER to ICU shortly before 2 AM.
Nothing much more to report at this time. The guy is almost 80 years old and, like I said, in not so good health as of late. So we will be keeping all apendages crossed extra tight. Any thoughts and prayers will be appreciated...
