I am thrilled about my Dodgers first series victory in 20 years!!!
It's been a tough road back and many thanks to Torre and Manny for returning the Blue Crew back to the Promised Land!
I still feel badly for the Cubs faithful, clearly amongst the best fans in all of baseball, you deserve better than this lifelong record of no championships. I always root for the Cubs when my own team is not playing them. I loved Durocher, Banks, Santo and Fergie when I was growing up and watching games at Dodger Stadium! Always an entertaining and class act.
Phillies will be tough but the Dodgers seem to be a team of Destiny!! In a short series anyway can happen, and if Manny and Loney stay hot and Torre discovers that Seito may be better suited in the 6th or 7th inning and use Broxton again as the Closer, we could just prevail and Play the Devil Rays for all of the marbles.
Of course I haven't quite given up yet on the Freeway Series, although realistly, I know the Angels have about a 1 in 5 chance of coming back against the Red Sox.

Steve and Mike! This year i wasn't sad. I was angry with my team. i don't know where the fire went. They acted defeated b/4 game 3 even started. I don't get it. I wanted to be in the dugout with a cattle prod. Don't let me near Soriano! OK, rant over. looking forward to the rest of the playoffs, even though my boys aren't in the mix. I'll root for the Dodgers, Steve!

My fingers are crossed that Santo gets in the hall this year.

Last year, the sting of the Phillies' losing was quite sharp. So I feel your pain.

I can't believe Ron isn't in the HOF already! And on the Dodgers side of the fence, Maury Wills not there as well??? He revolutionized the game in the 60's by bringing back the Steal! LA had zero zilch hitting in the Koufax/Drysdale era but won many 1-0, 2-1 games because of Wills's baserunning success! Thanks for the shoutout on the Dodgers! 20 years is starting to seem like 100 in this City! TG for Torre, I was skeptical at first but he held a rag tag group of hitters and rookies and kept them close until Manny arrived! He gets my vote for Manager of the Year!

Maury Wills and Minnie Minoso changed the game as much as anyone since Babe Ruth. They, as well as Ron Santo should be in the HOF. I also would put in Trammell and Whitaker for their remarkable careers together.

Now I hope Joe Torre enjoys another Series and Steinbrenner overdoses on Rolaids watching...

With the loss by the Brewers I have no rooting interest left in the NL despite being an NL fan.

Now I am hoping for an Angels/Rays ALCS (which will be tough given how poorly the Halos have played so far) and that the Rays get to and then win the World Series.

I might even watch if the Rays get in. And it might make the TV and league suits pull their collective hair out if their beloved BoSox get bumped. That is always a good thing.

An all LA series would probably annoy the suits as well so I guess I can pull for that as a back up.
