Three window units. The reason why I've been working out with the little barbells in the morning. Huge PITA to get them up and down two flights of stairs each year, but we have forced hot water for heating, hence no air vents to put in central A/C.
Meanwhile, the ice cream truck is playing "The Entertainer" outside the house. It's a bit cool for him to be around still.

My whole house is 64 right now. I refuse to turn on the heat, I just refuse! I'm all bundled up and slept with a ton of blankets. I usually fight it for a week before cranking the heat up. I currently have it set to 55 so if it does get that cold it will kick on.
And this is what I used to make fun of my grandparents for...I have a new respect....

My in-laws had a wood-burning stove that FIL kept fed with old wooden pallets (free from the moving/freight company just down the road). During our winter visits, their house was around 80. No real controls on the thing.sunflower wrote:My whole house is 64 right now. I refuse to turn on the heat, I just refuse! I'm all bundled up and slept with a ton of blankets. We keep our house set at 60 for most of the day, 64 during waking hours. The heat has turned on only three times so far, and not for long each time, even with the near-40 degree nights. We're well insulated.
