Curiously, the source code for that Request Tickets page still has some obsolete text in it talking about the tapings they had at Walt Disney World in January 2006.

Now that Play It! has been replaced by Toy Story Mania, that's not going to happen again.

So depressed. I'm still picketing Disney Studios. At least I could get my fake Hot Seat fix regularly that way.

I'm not sure how long ago they added this, but they're now offering tickets to the rehearsal, too.

taping schedule

I read an answer posted by Meridith on her blog site that they would be taping episodes from July 21st (22nd?) through the end of July, no tapings in August (she's going to China for the Olympics), then back to taping in Sept. and Oct. and a little bit into Nov.

She says they'll be taping 200 episodes and and she'll be doing about 175 of those.

It's all his fault. That'll be $10.

Gee, Marley, you think they need someone to "play" the game for rehearsal? I'm sure the APs have your contact information. :P
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

It's true that she said that, but it's probably inaccurate. This season and last, 175 shows have been taped and Meredith has done 160 - three weeks of guest hosts per season. This has been the pattern since Meredith joined the Today Show.

It's always possible season 7 will have more episodes - after all, the first three seasons had 195 each. We'll see.

From what I hear they have approached former contestants to appear as contestants at the rehearsal.

They've done that before.

Besides, Rexer was just joking with me. Obviously, they'd want to rehearse the bantering with the contestant and not just the answering of trivia questions, and obviously they dare not risk that with somone who isn't bubbling with energy and anecdotes.

Careful, Marley or we could end up with a on topic gus.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

An on-topic gus is the most elegant of them all! 8)

Well, if anyone would be on-topic, it would have to be marley.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

We frown on on-topic posting on this Bored! That'll be a 23 yard penalty, and loss of grumbling privileges!

Just call TPTB something personal and foul to make the penalty worthwhile!
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Is there anything personal and foul Marley hasn't already called me? And that's just at the auditions....

That's a curious addition to the schedule when Meredith gets back from the Olympics--a Tuesday and a Friday before the Labor Day holiday and then a Tuesday and a Thursday after the holiday?

With the new time limits and the historic or histrionic ultra conservative play of the "20 Somethings" in the past, maybe they were too quick in sending out all of those "sad" postcards at the beginning of audition season. What's Megadeath going to do if she is limited in her chit chat time with these frat brats, aspiring entertainers, clowns and foot models?
Well I guess the rest of us are still here if they want to go back and ask us politely to be on the show.

I once got offered a Job after I had already received a letter of rejection. So I am not too proud to be TPTB's second choice.

It is Yom Kippur and during one point in the service, the cantor wails:

"I am but a nothing, a mere speck, oh Lord, please take mercy on me".

Not to be outdone the rabbi prostrates himself and wails:

"I am less then speck, a true nothing, one he dersives no attention from your greatness, look kindly on me"

The Shamus (sort of the 'Janitor' of the Synagogue) is so moved by the Cantor's and Rabbi's display of humility - wails 'I too am a nothing - please take pity on me'

At that the Cantor nudges the Rabbi and wispers "Look who thinks he's a nothing."

But you have to try the Toy Story attraction! You get to shoot stuff. Maybe you can pretend the targets are TPTB...
