Fired (for cause) by Al Davis a euphamisim for I don't want to pay you and your pregnant with their third child wife.

That should keep the lawyers (on both sides) happy for some time to come. Davis has pulled it off before though.

Both Oakland and the Rams (who fired Scott Linehan yesterday) have their bye weeks this week, so the move makes sense to give the new coach a bit more time to get ready.

However, unlike the Rams, who are truly pathetic, Oakland was very competitive in losses to Buffalo and San Diego the last couple of weeks and might easily be 3-1 right now.

The amazing thing is he won five games with Al Davis running the franchise...look for him in Syracuse Orange and Blue reeeeeal soon.
