I agree with you, sc.

I also agree with nitrah and Pea in this thread.

I also have a lot of respect for Hagel. If he'd been the Republican nominee, I'd probably be supporting him. I wished that Obama would have added him to the ticket.

I also consider the comments made by Murphy and Noonan when they thought that they were off-mic.

And those made by George Will and a lot of other conservatives.

I just hate to think about a President Palen.

Back to you, sc. I hope that you'll consider what McCain's choice says about him.

P.S. [as an edit, to sc]: If McCain would've named you as his VP candidate, I would have been cool with that.

I want to see some depth and wisdom, and I'm just not seeing that with her.

What does Obama's choice say about him?

Of course, I would love a President Palin.

Do you not know how to spell her name?

Stringers were people (for those of you who don't know, not trying to insult anyone's intelligence) who were paid by the news entity by the published word. They sniffed out news where the regular staff couldn't get to it, and were sometimes valuable.

The problem was, since they were only paid for as much as they got published, they would often stretch, manipulate, or otherwise molest the facts so that they portrayed the most sensational story, thereby increasing said stringer's chance at a paycheck.

Judging from Mr. Murray's "analysis," this syndrome hasn't gone away.

OTOH, the quotes from the Omaha World-Herald appear to be true, which signals to me that Sen. Hagel has either reached that point of comfort that he can say anything he wants without fear of retribution, or he is far enough gone and burned out that he doesn't care about retribution. On the other other hand, however, the secondary news source I was reading to try to confirm these quotes referred to sen. Obama's running mate as "Sen. John Biden (sic), so maybe I should just take all this with a grain of salt.
There was an article last week in the Omaha World-Herald about Hagel's dislike for the Palin selection.

To lend you the local perspective, Hagel essentially is persona non grata -in Nebraska. If he had run for re-election, he would have been trounced in the Republican primary. Knowing as much, he "decided" not to run for another term. In recent years, he hit a crucial point in his political career, and he began enjoying seeing himself on television a bit too much.

Guilty.

I'm not a good speller.

As far as what Obama's choice says, I guess it's just gonna be in the eye of the beholder.

I'd rather have a President Biden than a President Palin.

You'd rather have her.

Oh, well. That's what makes the horse races.
