That apple-tall Smurf question has made it into marni soupcoff's Zeitgeist of the Internet column in the Canadian newspaper The National Post today.

Which means:

(1) There was a visible peak in Google surfing about Smurfs, enough to be named a Google Hot Trend.
(2) Which was noted by Ms. Soupcoff, who had no idea why.

I mean, claiming to understand the Zeitgeist and not being familiar with the WWTBAM effect? :roll:
