Now that's odd

The Mets just released pitcher Al Reyes. What's odd about that? He hadn't thrown a pitch for them. Why promote him to the majors (in September, when roster size isn't an issue), only to release him without him throwing a pitch in a game? --Bob

He probably borrowed Jose Reyes' soap and never gave it back.
