Re: mccain made me laugh
The Constitution, as you and Whoopi conveniently ignore, contains a mechanism for amending it, as we have done numerous times in the past 200 years. The 13th Amendment bans slavery, so that argument doesn't hold water.Bob Juch wrote:You want to bring back slavery?Jeemie wrote:No- but I'd kill if there was truly a candidate for the RTC Party (Restore the Constitution).NellyLunatic1980 wrote: Are you interested in a position with the National Apathy Party?

I'd hate to think anyone on these boards is as stupid as Whoopie Goldberg.

Would this be a random act, or do you have some targets in mind?Jeemie wrote:No- but I'd kill if there was truly a candidate for the RTC Party (Restore the Constitution).NellyLunatic1980 wrote:Are you interested in a position with the National Apathy Party?Jeemie wrote:I said at the outset of one of these political threads that I am voting for neither McCain nor Obama.
There's really no difference between the two- both will continue the looting of America that's currently going on.
Only difference is to which voting blocs they pander.
And are you taking suggestions?
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

Good grief, Jeemie! It's pronouncements like this that make me think you're the stupidest person on the planet!Jeemie wrote: I'd hate to think anyone on these boards is as stupid as Whoopie Goldberg.
Whoopi Goldberg is not stupid. You may disagree with some of the things she says, and some may strike you as a little off-kilter, but you try saying 100% smart things in live interviews 100% of the time without Google to help you.

When she says things like she said to McCain on The View, and when people on these boards repeat them, then she is (and they are) being stupid.SportsFan68 wrote:Good grief, Jeemie! I'm sorry if that offends your sensibilities.
The Constitution is being treated like toilet paper by the two major parties, and we get idiotic statements (repeat, with emphasis, IDIOTIC STATEMENTS) like "Oh- if you're an originalist, then you're for slavery".
It is truly well-said that we get the government we deserve.

Let me try again to explain this --
Giving someone a blanket label of stupid over a statement that you disagree with makes you look stupid. It was stretching it a little to say it made me think you're the stupidest person on the planet. I know the stupidest person on the planet, and he's not you. Calling the statement stupid because of faulty logic is well within bounds if you had done that.

Same for the mooses. Or is it meese?
No matter how annoying that big antler head can be...
You are right that Evil Squirrel has a sort of good side. He is very good at drawing things, and I like to encourage his art. When he's busy drawing, he's not throwing things at me, and even if he does, a crayon doesn't hurt as much as an apple, anvil, or concrete block. Fortunately, he doesn't hit me very often, so his bad aim counts as a good point, too.
I've never met a moose, so I have no particular opinion about mooses/meeses/four-footers of the moosish persuasion.
Again, I am so sorry for my careless blather. I do hope you will forgive me and continue to plan to appear in my opera. Yours is a special and important role.
With love and greatest respect,
Annie

Don't suck up to Rocky! Even famous thespian squirrels like to throw things at bigger creatures.... it's in our blood....

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Whoopi wasn't being stupid; she was being deliberately provocative by feigning ignorance. McCain handled that entire inquisition rather well (which makes me feel that he will do rather well in the debates).Jeemie wrote:When she says things like she said to McCain on The View, and when people on these boards repeat them, then she is (and they are) being stupid.SportsFan68 wrote:Good grief, Jeemie! It's a false statement.
People who make deliberately false statements to provoke are being stupid.
