Would the talent competition involve rulers and knuckles?
I am about 25% sure of this.

I think that they cancelled it because if it turned into an annual event, it may get too addicting and become a hard habit to break.

Maddie coached a friend to a first runner up position in last year's Miss Outstanding Teen Placentia competition. (Maddie is very good at coaching interview skills.)
She was told that she should enter the pageant this year.
She probably won't have time because she's doing both Mock Trial, Quiz Bowl and the school play at the same time.
So she thought about the idea of a Miss Quiz Bowl pageant. The talent portion would be buzzer skills.

I think marley would approve if they have a phone game portion. Oh, and pocket protector throw.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Maddie coached a friend to a first runner up position in last year's Miss Outstanding Teen Placentia competition. (Maddie is very good at coaching interview skills.)

I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Speaking of Quiz Bowl, Maddie's team has three competitions in October, it's going to be interesting to see how they do.
Of the kids that remain, Maddie had the highest stats at the Nationals last year. There are two brothers on the team, who are good, but they almost know the same thing. The other guy on the team overlaps Maddie in Lit and Music a bit. The girl who freaked out in Chicago decided not to continue in Quiz Bowl. They have a lot of new blood on the team, but not enough to field a "B" team.

Yes! All she wanted to do when she was in Chicago was order room service and the girl was so freaked out she couldn't do it.MarleysGh0st wrote:Good news for Maddie, when they go to the Nationals again!PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:The girl who freaked out in Chicago decided not to continue in Quiz Bowl.
Jeff and I are cheap. The only time we have ever ordered room service was the morning that Maddie went on Jeopardy and consequently it has huge cachet for the girls.
