Monday, top 1500
I admit that this month, so far, I have been VERY lucky. I believe I have missed only two, but today's question, for example, was a total guess. I had a 20 percent chance of getting it right, and I did. My weakest subject (Physical Science) has been giving me cupcake questions. And, I've been getting an inordinate number of Sports and Music questions.

I'm sure all of this will change starting tomorrow....

I think I've jinxed myself this month, I'll wave as everyone passes by.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I missed a question last night. I felt better because only 13.5% of the people being asked the question got it correct.

Got glitched over the weekend when the site didn't register a correct answer. I suppose I was due for one of those. Would have sworn the radio button was filled in before I hit "submit". Nailed the other one. Still gotta do today's.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I just now correctly answered my question for today (I wasn't about to attempt it on grandma's dial up antique), so maybe I'm back up on the list now.....

From the top of the list to the bottom in less than 14 days!

Did Norman Maine ever wear a searsucker suit?

---Jay (Judy Garland was just this old in the year she made her film debut in the movies 'Every Sunday' and 'Pigskin Parade' - if you know the answer then you know the rest....)

LOL! After getting today's question correct, I searched the leaderboard. I am all of two points ahead of christie1111. And I see that jbg got the recent "who the heck am I?" Congrats to her!

Your rank is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom right of any page you're on. You have to meander through the TQOTD pages to your rank, and there your score will be. Or wait for OCDer to post the rankings. Thanks for doing that, OCDer! :)

I'm having my best month yet. Even had a when-in-doubt-guess-Liberia question a few days ago. I was wrong this morning, though, after suppressing my first choice, which only 11% of people got right. Argh!

I know MrKelley is out there lurking. He apparently answers his question in 10-question chunks.

By the way, who are Foosesb and Ggossage? They are always around the front of the pack.

Foosesb is a bored lurker, and Ggossage is Weyoun's father.

This is a tough group.

Over the 5 months since a significant number of BBs started playing Sploofus, only16 people have made the front page of the standings more than twice. 8 are in the group here.

3 of the 4 who have made the top 50 every time are in this group, and every overall winner during that time.
