Exciting new opportunity

#1 Post by a1mamacat » Thu Nov 08, 2007 7:45 pm

So, meetings are done.

The supervisor from hell is being moved to a different area and job.

As I had requested a transfer, I have also been moved. The new position is one with huge growth potential, and lots of first line contact with the public. I will be dealing with Seniors health issues and problems, analysing trends and organizing a database of help for seniors, persons with disabilites, and children with special needs. My current senior manager says that with my knowledge and people skills, I will do well and they are lucky to be getting me LOL. It is the same level as I am currently at, with room for advancement.

I will be in the same building as my wonderful teammates, just a few floors away. I am very excited and enthused about this. Much of the excitement is that my wonderful teammates are also going to be much better off when the SFH leaves. I know there were a few prayers winging my way today, and many thanks to all. I'm sure they helped.

Double woo hoo! :D

BTW, by "different area," I hope you mean that SFH is moving someplace like Baffin Island.

Fantastic news. Too bad you are leaving your group but very nice they are nearby. Sometimes we have to start a little bit fresh.

After misusing private information for her own purposes your SFH is lucky she still has a job. In most places that is grounds for termination without recourse.

Excellent. This sounds as if it's about as happy a resolution as could be hoped. (We could hope they'd decide to pay you much more money for your trouble, but with those opportunities for advancement, that may well happen in the future.)

Before you move into your new position, you and your beleaguered co-workers should have a party with a Wizard of Oz theme in honor of (although not inviting) the hateful supervisor -- "Ding, dong, the witch is . . . reassigned."

Whew! I was worried when I saw your subject line that you might be sarcastic (as in, "Yay! I get to leave and pursue other exciting opportunities...") It sounds like the outcome was about as good as could be expected. Congrats!

Congrats, Trish. I hope you will be much happier and satisfied in your new position. I just hate that the b**ch is still around. She doesn't deserve it but this is the government after all so what else is new.

Many hugs coming your way.

I had the same fear as Jess when I saw the sibject line and then the author.

I am thrilled for you. I know you will make the most of this opportunity.

Excellent! Don't let the door hit her on her a** on the way out. It sounds like you'll be doing new re-energizing stuff. That's awesome.
Well, then

This sounds like the best of all possible worlds, Saucy.
