RIP Brennan's Restaurant
The Houston landmark burned down last night at the worst of the storm. 
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Yes, I am! If it wasn't him, he had a bunch of relatives! They hose the vomit out of the gutters after the bars close, but the streets still reek in the morning when you get to Brennan's. It's a good restaurant. They make a good turtle soup. We had brunch there a few years ago. They make a dish called Shrimp Tchefuncte. It is delish.

Heck, that wasn't all that long after Mardi Gras then. I think it was just before Final Four time? Something big was coming up. Yep, the '03 Final Four was in New Orleans that year, so that would've been about a week away.....

See! I remembered something! I only had one Hurricane at Pat O'Brien's! It was kinda nasty, actually. Yes. Pappa Brennan gave his two sons his restaurants but they didn't get along and split into two sets of restaurants. The Olde Absinthe house is one of them too, as is Brennan's Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney in Anaheim.mellytu74 wrote:Was it any relation to the Brennan's in New Orleans?
