FNGD Q4 - BACK IN T. O.
B - Robertson Davies' Deptford trilogy had the titles of "Fifth Business", "World of Wonders", and "The __________".
To fill in the blank, name an imaginary beast with the head of a man, and the body of a lion. And a stingy tale. I mean tail.
G - At some point those durn Swedes are going to relent and give this lady the Nobel Prize in literature, deserved for novels like the dystopia "The Handmaid's Tale".
(I put the wrong trilogy name originally)

Margaret Atwood (and I'd give her a prize for "The Handmaid's Tale" but not much else. Just MHO)

There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

OK let me answer one question first.
'Deptford' and "Salterton' are two imaginary towns in Ontario, both close to Toronto, the latter of which bears a resemblance to Peterborough. They name the two first trilogies of Robertson Davies. Most of the "action" in the Deptford trilogy takes place in Toronto, except for the stuff in Europe, and Davies was living in Toronto he wrote and publshed the 3 books , working at U of T as "The Master of Massey College", doing whatever he imagined college masters of a hundred years previous would have done.
Manticore has a local importance on the bored owing to famous question for corn back in first syndie season IIRC.
