Punked? Did I get the trick rather than the treat?
Since I haven't heard anything about Halloween Week, except a vague suggestion that there won't be one, and there isn't much time left, I think the Flying Monkey has had his wings clipped. If anyone hears anything (rumors, prophesies, tea leaf readings ect.) I'd love to hear it.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

It was in a private message so I wouldn't want to say, but they could.MarleysGh0st wrote:Who gave you that vague suggestion?
How long would it take TPTB between taping and airing these episodes? I imagine they could still tape in mid-October for airing Halloween week!
A taping is not completely foreclosed, but allowing for 3 weeks notice....

Thanks Pea, I amtrying to be more Peacocklike in my thinking and I jump when my cell rings.peacock2121 wrote:I will not listen to or entertain such thoughts.
No way, no how.
I don't care about any other shows/themes that may or may not be happening. (I made that up - no one has PM'd me about anything)
No way no how - they want you - they will use you.

If I were the decider, I would have the show taped on October 27th or 28th, so the feeling of Halloween is in the air.

Oct 31st is a Friday, it is Halloween week so they could tape the whole week in a single day - I would guess they would do it on Thursday the 23rd - which gives them a day to edit it for broadcast the following week while still having everyone (contestants and audience) in the right 'spirit' of things. It seems that they make the calls exactly 3 weeks prior to the air date - so that may mean you might not get the call (if my numbers and WAGs pan out) until either the end of September or the first few days of October.peacock2121 wrote:You knocked their socks off.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:Thanks Pea, I amtrying to be more Peacocklike in my thinking and I jump when my cell rings.peacock2121 wrote:I will not listen to or entertain such thoughts.
