Is there anything you can tell us about this week?

I got back about 9:00 p.m. PDT and zipped right to work at 7:15 a.m. this morning so things are a bit foggy, but I'll do my best. As you know, I can't say anything about the Hot Seat experience until after the show airs so I will stick to the drilled-into-us mantra of "Tune in and find out!" But as far as the overall travel experience, I had a great time.
The flights were all on time (will miracles never cease) and actually early getting into LaGuardia. The hotel was wonderful! In fact, for any of you getting a chance to go either for the show or just for a trip, I recommend the Lucerne. It was especially great for the special Millionaire deal, but they could not have been nicer. It is a nice hotel, but not so fancy that schmucks like me who frequent the Motel 6 felt uncomfortable or out of place. The concierge was particularly helpful sorting stuff out. It does have WiFi (at no charge, I believe), but I don't have a laptop so I used the well-equipped business office. The only downside there is that it is $0.35/minute. That did help cut down how much time I spent on the Internet.
I went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Times Square, "Legally Blonde", and to Ground Zero on Sept. 11. That was a very moving experience as well as being able to watch the special NYC coverage on TV of the day's events.
I'm not sure how much I can say at this point about the actual taping experience. The tentative air date is Nov. 9-10 range, but they will let me know about a week before. If anyone has specific questions, please let me know, and I will see if they are questions I can answer. I'll definitely be happy to do so once the air date has happened. There were some interesting things that happened, but I don't think I can say anything about them at this point. So my big project between now and then will be second quessing myself and analyzing every little move, answer, etc.
Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll take it from there. Thanks again to everybody for all the support and answers to my MANY questions both on this occasion and for the NINE LONG YEARS it took to make it into the Hot Seat. I will keep my fingers crossed that all of you can have the same opportunity. Just don't give up!

I hadn't thought of it as a sweeps month. That's kind of cool! I was initially worried because they said nothing could be done if the show is pre-empted by a local or national network. They told me originally first week of Nov., and we ALL know what happens Nov. 4.
I entered the Hot Seat on Tuesday.

BTW, Fun Fact from the auditions/taping:
When we walked out of the hotel on Tuesday to head to the taping, a woman was waiting on the steps. When she saw us, she asked if we were going to Millionaire, and it turned out she was too. We shared a cab, and in the course of discussion, realized we had both auditioned in Sacramento in the same session. The more I thought about it, I realized we actually stood next to each other in line for our photos to be taken. Super nice person with a really interesting story. I think you will enjoy seeing her segment.

Spoiler
I explictly mentioned "Fight Club" or if I went the Poe route and asked if her name was William Wilson?
