Are you certain your computer isn't infected with any malware that might be keylogging those changes?

Very good point!

I understand how you feel. Last year someone broke into my paypal account and placed a $2,000,000 bid on a jet in Alaska.

rec!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Just as I was logging into ebay because I got a response to the question "can I pick up the computer today" which I know I didn't send, Paypal called me to verify that I just bought a $2,001 computer. I feel lucky that I hadn't left the house to go on my daily walk.

Norton 360 is pretty bad. It eats up a lot of resources. It's also not very good at detecting spyware.

I'd download and run the free Spybot Search & Destroy program.

Sorry to hear that.

But, that's pretty clever, if you ask me.

I was finally able to contact Jeff in Toronto and he said that he hadn't been on eBay on a public computer.

Right now, I feel physically ill.

That's Showtimeness-type syntax. And UPS keeps it from being mail fraud. How clever.

Using email makes it wire fraud though.

The Placentia Police won't do anything because it's Birmingham.
