The photo set doesn't include some of the group shots that we had wanted, so I wonder if that list ever made it to the photographers. I was interested in one photo that I thought had been taken, but maybe not. Near the end, I had sagged into a chair near our table, back toward the windows, looking at the people still there. I thought I saw, out of the corner of my eye, one of the photogs snapping my picture, and I was curious how burned out I looked at that point. She may have been shooting at someone else, though. Or maybe I looked so bad that they left it out of the set.

The reception as a whole was a blur of activity to me. The toast, the dancing, the wandering around the tables greeting everyone. The gorgeous women in my life looking even more gorgeous than ever. The glow of BD when she looked at SIL. The smiles on everyone's faces.

Above all was the sheer pleasure of having nearly all of my family in one place enjoying themselves, and knowing that I had something to do with it. I don't think I've ever had so many people come up to thank me and really mean it. Everything had ended up just perfect, or close enough to make no difference. We've set a high standard for my cousins, if I do say so myself.

At my wedding, none of my Dad's familiy's group pictures showed up. My Dad said that it's because they are all vampires, but I think that it's because the photographer didn't load the film correctly.

I'd say you couldn't ask for a happier ending. I know it was a lot of work, stress, money, you name it. It sounds like it was worth it!

Uly, do you still use film, or are you 100% digital? What about other professional photographer-types?

100% digital. Every professional I know shoots digital. The only ones who shoot film seriously are art photographers. And they usually do it in large format.
Digital is so much easier to transmit via computer and Photoshop makes it easy to manipulate the images.

I knew there were "purists" out there who'd still be insisting on film. I wasn't sure how many, or who they might be. Just like there are those who insist on the "superior sound quality" of vinyl albums vs. compact discs.
