I love PF Chang's!

I didn't know what else to post, but I wanted to post something nice and not related to anything we aren't talking about today!

It's the only reason I'm excited for my business trip to Albany next week, knowing that I get to go have my garlic noodles!

Their Singapore street noodles aren't too shabby either.

We lived in West Hartford and the lack of restaurants drove me crazy.
When we left, a Macaroni Grill was being built.

My favorite place to eat was "Tapas" on New Britain Avenue. They didn't serve Tapas, but had interesting Mediterranean Dishes. My favorite dish was their Muffaletta, Grilled sliced Steak or Chicken Breast served on toasted garlic pita with blended cheeses, topped with sauteed Spanish onions and sherried mushrooms.

Count me as a big fan of P. F. Chang's, but unfortunately we have just one of them in town and it is always very busy. Couple that with the fact that elwing is not as much a fan of Chinese food as I and we don't go there very often.

We are getting one in West Hartford (yes - PSM, I can sympathize with the lack of restuarants there until a couple years ago!)...and I'm sure it will be busy. They put in a Cheesecake Factory which is still mobbed a year later! But I figure PF Chang's is the kind of place I can (and would) do take out so I'm excited!

And when they open it here I'll be more likely to try new things. Since I go there so infrequently, I stick to the same items, more or less.

We lived there from 1994 to 1997, so it was a while ago.

This is going to be in the Westfarms mall, where a bunch of restaurants opened and then closed. As of a couple years ago, it was pretty much Chili's and Ruby Tuesday's in a very busy area.

They closed a bunch of existing restaurants, then slowly but surely, started opening more. It's about time! It's one of the nicer shopping centers in CT but there was never anywhere to eat!

The only place that I remember at the mall was Pizzeria Uno, but I was never impressed by their food.

We went to a restaurant last weekend that has a Tapas bar.
We were with another couple. She is from LA (lower Alabama). When I mentioned the Tapas Bar, she thought I said "topless bar" and was wondering what kind of place we were taking them!!

The best shrimp I've ever had at a restaurant was at PF Chang's. The waiter recommended doing the PF Chang's chicken, but with shrimp instead. Spicy, sweet, juicy & crispy!

They have excellent Mongolian beef, too.

Have you been to Pei Wei, the "faster" version of PF Chang's? We have one closeby and their Asian Chicken Salad rolls, or Vietnamese, I can't remember the exact name, but they're a starter dish. They are AWESOME. Awesome.
