...otherwise I might be convinced that there really is NOTHING going on ANYWHERE on the planet that doesn't concern American presidential politics. Well I guess there is Ike. But that gets politicized in a lot of the coverage, too.

I'm willing to bet my entire non-existent fortune that it will be politics on all the major news channels if I turn on my TV right now. Let's check in.

Ok, I concede. We have the 9/11 memorials.

Given that....I'm willing to bet my non-existent fortune that, after today's reprieve, it will be all politics all the time on all the major news channels at any given time between now and just after the February inauguration.

We often watch it, not only so Husband1111 can see English sports up-dates, but to check on whther anything is happening ANY where else in the world.

I have basically given up on US TV news.

I enjoy getting Monty Python and this other show called That Mitchell and Webb Look (or Webb and Mitchell. I forget.)

British humor rocks. And if you have trouble keeping up with the accents, you can replay some stuff on YouTube.

Fuzzy brain. I meant to say that it'd be February before the election coverage ends. And the following election's campaigning begins.

yeah, I have found out about stuff like school shootings in Norway from when I can't sleep & am watching some BBC news on PBS late, because, hey, if they aren't our school shootings, what do we care, right?

The US media does cover tsumanis & the like elsewhere on the planet. And assasinations big & small in Countries That Matter To Us. Otherwise, forget it.

You need to watch some of the other cable channels.

There's that whole Caylee story going on that I see every night on shows like Greta Van Sustern's and Nancy Grace's.

And of course, all weekend, we'll be subjected to Ike 24/7.

I just found out that my team member who lives in Sioux Falls, SD does not have a TV. She gets all her news from the local paper and the Net.
