Ike is heading Gulfward. I may be spared. Last night my pool was taken over by a pack of teenagers celebrating my niece's 18th birthday, so I will have a heck of a time removing all the Silly String from around the pool, so maybe I won't get around to changing the sheets in the guestroom. I can tell her she can change her own sheets or sleep on the ones Erin spilled the chocolate milk on...

If that means Ike's gonna eventually swing up this way, he better get on through here before my KC trip next Monday! Gustav wiped out a game there last week, and that sucker was still packing a mean punch even this far north....

Tornadoes and severe storms I don't mind, but could you coastal people please keep your tropical systems with those all-day winds and downpours to yourself from now on.....
