Not a good day #1
We are going to have to put down our labrador retriever, Midnight (see the new avatar). She is 14, old for a purebred, especially a large one. Over the past couple of years, she has started to show her age and the effects of having ACL surgery on both back knees early in life. She also basically can't feel her back feet because of a progressive neuropathy.
In the last month, she has visibly gotten weaker in the back end. Stairs have been an issue for a while, but for the last few days, even standing and walking have become extremely difficult. She also can't feel when she has to go out to poop until the last minute. The situation has gotten to the point where it's no longer comfortable for any of us, especially her. We managed to get her another six months after the bloat surgery in January, but it's time. The earliest appointment we could get is tomorrow morning, so tomorrow won't be such a good day, either.
Please pray for an easy passage to stay with Truffles, Morris, Meeko, Sherman, and all the Bored BB pets who are there to welcome her.

I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Midnight will get an excellent welcome over the Rainbow Bridge. Sorry for your loss.

Mr. gs, I'm very sorry. I send wet kisses and warm snuggles to everybody in your family. I'm also sending an eyelid message to my sister Tigger to ask her to watch out for Midnight. She'll show him where to go to find the Big Dog Bowl in the sky and stuff like that. She likes to help.
It makes me sad, though.

I'm so sorry, GSABC. Sending all my good thoughts at this difficult time...
