My family sucks

#1 Post by PlacentiaSoccerMom » Sun Jun 15, 2008 9:35 pm

I found a great deal on "Rock Band" at Sam's Club today. ($94)

Emma is practically perfect on drums, Jeff plays guitar really well and Maddie does vocals with perfect pitch. My family let me sing twice and I failed both times. Basically after my inept performance, they told me that I could be the roadie.

Now we're talking!

What kind of pie?

I vote for cherry. Last night's desert was cherry cheesecake, but I wish she had put the cherries in a pie instead.

Say it with a straight face, and they might believe you.

Maybe your mother can sing with them?

Marie Callendar's is having their cheap pie sale. ($6.99, plus tin deposit.)

I wanted to get Chocolate Satin, which is Jeff's favorite pie, but they were out. I got him Lemon Merengue instead.

We also had Pumpkin, because it's one of the few types that Emma will eat.

She's just watching them. I think that she is happy that they fired me from the band. Schadenfreude is a concept that she totally gets.

By the way, Jeff made me drink tonight.

He says that it might make my mom easier to be around.

Jeff's suggestion sounds like a good one. I hope you took him up on it. Have one for me. It's been a trying day here as well.

You bought "Rock Band", you should get to be in it. Who cares if you're on pitch or not?

Jeff drank the other half.

My mom won't even take aspirin, she says that it makes her loopy.

Sounds like she took too many as a kid.

Hey, some people would be honored to be roadies for the Suchard Family band! 8)

As Dirty Harry once said "A woman has to know her limitations"! I am "tone deaf" my self and yet in my extended family we have relatives who sing in choirs and one who sings professionally. They must have gotten their talents from the sides of the family that I am not related to.

They told me that if I buy an adapter for the machine, then I can play bass. Apparently it doesn't involve a lot of skill.
