We're having a wedding reception for our son. He was married in March, but we are just getting around to having a real reception.

That's keeping me pretty busy this week. Natalie told me I would be the one who has to pay for her son's wedding reception. I'm just glad we can afford to do it for them.

Other than that, it's just take it easy the rest of the weekend, once the out of town company has vacated my house. :)

There are races in Charlotte, so I will be at work.

Monday itself Mom and I are building bears for the children's hospital, and hanging out with Indiana Jones.

What's up in Chicago? Can you tell us? Not prying, really I'm not. :D

I do hope she have a safe and uneventful travel experience.

Camping and fishing IF the weather straightens itself out.

Camping in cold rain is not fun.

There better not be any monkeys. If there are, Oz better get a room ready in the Emerald City for me and Toto I mean Casey.

Does three birthday parties and a cookout all on the same day sound like fun? If it does, then you can come and take my place.

Crap, I just remembered that I forgot to call my nephew and wish him a HBD today. I was waiting until he got home from school. He's probably still up. Ha!

Natalie has a son that's getting married? Why did I think she was in her 20s?

You must have been quite a precocious young thing, btw. Ha!

May's quite popular month in our family. We did a triple threat two weekends ago (my bd, my mom's and mother's day) and this weekend is my sister, nephew and niece. She's June 2 or 3 (whenever Moonbeam's is), but we let her pretend it's May. Ha!

And that's not even counting the May birthdays we DON'T celebrate! Uncle, aunt, ggrandma, etc.

I guess we're only genetically capable of breeding in August.

Well, at least you've admitted your birthday date here! I noticed that you weren't listed on the birthday thread, so I opted not to do the HEY HAPPY BIRTHDAY thing a couple of weeks ago. So, since you started it,

HEY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We are going to see Indiana Jones. I thought about going to a Midnight Showing tonight, but I have to do the awards at Open House tomorrow, plus I am helping to clean Emma's teacher's classroom in the afternoon.

I've admitted that it's in May. But for some reason Kusch knew the day. He explained how he remembered it, but I don't know how he knew it in the first place.

Unless he remembered that it's also National Masturbation Day.

I been lied to!

Somebody told me that CA was drownding in school money. I guess not, if PSM's being a janitor. :(

Our schools are very short in funds. The PTA is paying for copy paper and toilet paper.

The janitor usually comes in and vacuums Emma's class every night. They don't get rid of clutter, not do they scrub desk tops.

The PTA has to buy essential supplies? That's . . . that's . . .

Words fail me.

It's after one AM here, you'll just have to overlook my grammatical errors. I think I even changed that sentence to read that way...instead of saying to pay for their son's wedding reception, which didn't sound right either!

I still don't get it. Unless you're talking in the future? Do chicks dig her son while he's lion around? If so, then I understand. I'm a little slow on the uptake this evening.

That's the way it is in California.

They are cutting more from the budget next year. One of our librarians got laid off and the other had her hours cut. Next year, there is no zero period at the high school, so Maddie won't be able to do Quiz Bowl practice. They are asking parents to send in copy paper and donate gift cards for Office Max.

Emma will also have to go to school 45 minutes later than Maddie, which is a HUGE hassle and a waste of gas. Because the middle school will be starting later than the high school, the district will be able to save money on buses and drivers to transport Special Education Students to school.

Natalie is referring to her brother. His bride's family contributed $300 for her dress and that was it. We have paid for everything else. The cute little Lion Around kid is Natalie's nephew.

Natalie is 27, single, & no children. You're not as mixed up as you think. I just contributed to your being mixed up about what's going on.

Sleep, glorious sleep. Plus I'll be going to see the new Indiana Jones movie (alone) and Prince Caspian (with elwing). That's about as much excitement as I can take.
