Well I’m 100% sure that I punched in 1-4-2-3. I only wrote Ono down and wrote France, Italy & US for the others. Now unless Japan has somehow moved out of the Pacific recently or if France & Italy have changed places, then I’m not sure what happened.

Yes. I got that one tonight (Q2), and got Gatsby and Tarzan right, but fumbled on the Firm and Stepford Wives (and actually, I ordered them correctly in my head, but punched the numbers in worng).

The rest of the story.

Almost none of these questions were easy for me. I blanked on espadrille and very nearly reversed the last two answers to Question 1. Question 2 was the only clear gimme. I cannot be sure what Fred said for my third choice on Question 3, but I figured it had to be last. I wasn't sure, though, that Zagreb was west of Bucharest. In Question 4, I couldn't remember who wrote My Turn. Fortunately, I went for the only apparent gap and it proved to be correct. Question 5 was a straightforward application of Spock's Law. Unfortunately, the name I wasn't familiar with was David Sedaris.

So I'm playing again tomorrow when I get back from the bridge tournament.

I got to Q5 and I knew it. I KNEW IT! It was EASY. Heck, the whole stack was easy, but especially the 5th one. I knew I was gonna qualify. And then... I punched it in wrong. Not a fat finger in the truest sense. Just punched the wrong number. I guess I got excited because I knew I knew it, and so I didn't pay enough attention to what I was doing. Like the out fielder who tries to throw the ball before he's caught it, and ends up dropping the damned thing.
