If so juror Thomas Eddlem deserves some kind of nomination.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Not sure how this will play out in the Federal Courts, but I'm pretty sure that in Texas State courts, the Judge removing a Juror under these circumstances would result in a reversal and the order of a New Trial.

Very interesting. I'm also glad to see that Indiana is one of those states where jury nullification is clearly spelled out as a possibility in jury trials.
And the man's argument is classic Libertarianism (Capital intended). I'm not real comfortable with the national party's stance on across-the-board legalization of all drugs, so I can't say I would've done what he did. But I can admire it.
