What a weird name
*Archie*?
Not even "Archer" or whatever.
I hope the other kids are kind; if not, the royals will have them shot.
At least it wasn't Alfie.

Anybody up on the most recent Van Morrison album, "The Prophet Speaks", knows that the ventriloquist's dummy Mr. Morrison is shushing on the cover was named Archie in a famous-to-Britons TV show, "Educating Archie".

At least he's far enough down the chain of succession that we shouldn't have "King Archie." Of course, I suppose he could change his name at coronation, which has been done before.
Besides, Archie doesn't wear a crown, Jughead does.

I think the more interesting thing is the choice of last name. First they get to chose a last name.
And also surprised that Spencer was not part of the names at all. I was hoping that it was going to be the first name.

My understanding is that they wanted to name him Manning Marvin Markle Mountbatten, but ended up having to tweak it a bit to please Her Majesty.
Or I could have just made it up....
Fun Fact: Rather than going by HRH, the Princess Royal goes by Anne Mountbatten (no hypenate because she's cool like that...).
Oh, those nutty Saxe-Coburg Gothae....
