They're on their way to getting the ultimate bits of luck. Pat Sajak, a native Chicagoan, joked on Wheel about the World Series being at Wrigley Field when one of the bonus prizes was a sports tickets package, and that was in 1989.

G-d if I know where he's been. He got bits of luck bigger than the Cubs to be sure

I look at it two ways.

1)If the cubs hold true to form and win World Series Titles at their current pace, they'll reach 11 (number the Cardinals currently have) in the year 2432.

2)If the Cardinals keep their current pace, by the year 2432, we'll have 55 titles.

3) If the cubs do win this year, they open the season here in St. Louis. I'll get $500+ for tickets I'll pay about $20 each for.

We need to resurrect the William Howard Taft MM. 1908 was a good year for him as well...

Congratulations to the champion Cubs! What a series!

108-year-old Cubs fan in New Hampshire, born in Chicago 2 months before their last win, celebrates.

I can't do links on this tablet, but her name is Hazel Nilson if you want to search it. They interviewed her very compos mentis self on TV.

I'd like to have heard Vin Scully call it. I'm sure his poetry would have been up to the moment. --Bob
