Guess I'm done with Sploofus
Second time this month "the connection was reset" while trying to access the server. I had not missed a question this month, but the ofers killed me. It had gotten to be less and less of a priority, anyway. Oh well. So it goes.

Wow. I'd certainly ask for a refund.

I haven't had any big problems with it. My main complaint is that you have to click on a very tiny dot to select your multiple choice response, under time pressure where every millisecond costs you points. I often have to click a few times, slightly readjusting the location of the cursor each time to precisely hit the target. If there were big bucks at stake, I'd play with better equipment.

I've started putting one finger on the return key so once I get the answer selected I hit enter rather than having to mouse to the 'submit' button. I can't believe it took me a couple of years to think of that.
Of course, knowing the answer is important, too. That's often my downfall.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know that would work. I'll try it. I was thinking that a touch screen tablet might also be faster. I stopped playing a while back. What I found annoying was that your score depends so strongly on the speed of your internet connection.

I fat-finger with a touch screen way more than I do with a regular computer.
Or worse, I end up going so fast I touch the enter key just as I am realizing the screen didn't register my selection.

I finished 6th in November on the Question of the Day. That was my best in a while.
But if people are quitting that might have helped. I did notice that Hermillion was right behind me and saw some other names that I recognize.
There may be other BBs in there. I'm not good at knowing everyone's name.
