Pulp Fiction Critical Analysis Question

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Fri Mar 07, 2008 8:24 pm

We stumbled upon it on Encore or something, again. Tell me what the theme(s) are --random nihilistic violence coupled with consequential violence along with time as an artificial construct plus funny parts and stuff?

Is that what it's about? It's an intriguing movie, but I forget what it's focus is.
Well, then

I don't think you forgot anything.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Yes, that about sums it up.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. While Quentin is, I'm sure, a past prodigy of some sort, he strikes me, annoyingly, as very precious and twee.

What a great word, twee.

Yes. Twee is funish.

Twat is fun, too.

He's not twatish, though. Twittish, not twatish. I think twatish requires genderish identification and he strikes me as androgynous.
